Accelerated learning
Winch-based training can allow multiple flights in a day, helping you build skill and confidence without the physical grind of repeated hill climbs.

Start with a taster day, build through structured training, or use Elevate to sharpen your skills with practical hill, tow and winch-based progression.
Why choose Elevate?
Paragliding is weather-led, so our training is built to be adaptable. When the hill is working, we use it. When the hill is not the best option, winch and tow-based training can keep you progressing and help you build useful airtime without spending the day waiting for perfect conditions.
Hill training develops the ground-handling, judgement and natural launch skills every pilot needs. Winch training gives smooth, repeatable launches over open ground, making it ideal for building confidence, practising technique and getting more flights into a useful training day.
The aim is simple: safe progression, clear instruction and as much practical flying experience as the conditions sensibly allow.
Winch-based training can allow multiple flights in a day, helping you build skill and confidence without the physical grind of repeated hill climbs.
Work with pilots who understand how to keep the process calm, practical and tailored to the person in front of them.
The training is built around real flying experience, not just theory. You learn by doing, with proper briefings and debriefs around each stage.
Our paragliding courses
These are the main training routes currently offered. Flying is always weather-led, so we will confirm the right route, site and conditions before you book.
A full-day taster designed for people seriously considering pilot training. You get a practical introduction to the wing, ground handling and the first steps towards controlled flight.
This is a training day rather than a tandem flight. If you continue afterwards, ask about crediting the taster against further training.
Book a tasterThe first structured stage of training, covering ground handling, launch control, basic flights, approaches, landings, weather awareness and safe decision-making.
Ask about EPThe next stage after EP, building the consistency, judgement and practical skills needed to fly more confidently within a club environment.
Discuss CPA joined-up route for people who want to go from their first day on the wing through to a strong, supported foundation in the sport.
Book the routeFor pilots who want to add tow launching to their skill set, including tow procedures, launch control, release, circuit planning and safety briefings.
Ask about towFor pilots moving from flatland or tow-based flying into hill and mountain environments, with a focus on slope launches, ridge judgement and safe hill-site operation.
Ask about hill conversionFocused progression for pilots who already fly and want help with confidence, launch choices, decision-making, thermalling, XC preparation or returning after time away.

From first ground-handling sessions to early flights, our training is built around steady confidence. The aim is not to rush people. The aim is to give them the right experience, at the right pace, with the right conditions.
